Education with Character
Whilst academic success is very important, at Silverdale Primary Academy we believe that there is more to a good education.
As well as ensuring our pupils succeed in academic studies, we also aim to develop character, compassion and service. Throughout their time at Silverdale Primary Academy, our curriculum allows pupils to contribute to our school community, their locality and society. We want pupils to try things that challenge them, to persist in the face of difficulty and to become resilient in overcoming obstacles.
With this in mind, we provide a breadth of opportunities and experiences which seek to help our pupils to become confident, well-rounded and ambitious individuals. Within our curriculum, our children have the opportunity to fulfil our Silverdale’s Top 20. This is an enrichment programme that includes a wide range of opportunities including educational visits, residential trips and talks by inspirational speakers from the Sport, Science and Poetry as well as countless opportunities to collaborate with their peers at United Learning schools across the country.
Our pupils engage with whole school initiatives that are pupil-led by our Pupil Leadership Team. We believe that well-rounded pupils make a highly positive, tangible contribution to the life of the school and wider community.
We are incredibly proud to deliver an Education with Character; an education which challenges, inspires and excites our pupils whilst preparing them for the challenges of life.
